North Mississippi Hospice of Oxford offers
services to patients where the goal of treatment is pain management
and symptom control. Hospice care is available when the following
criteria are met:
- The patient and family must request hospice care.
- The patient is seeking palliative care and services rather than
curative treatment.
- The patient’s doctor and the Hospice Medical Director
agree that the patient has a life-limiting illness.
- There is a caregiver or a plan of care when the patient cannot
remain safely at home alone.
