Hospice was founded by volunteers who believed the philosophy of Hospice should be based on giving of one's self to others. volunteers have made a difference to Hospice patients and their families, to their staff, to their communities and to one another. North Mississippi Hospice looks to volunteers to be the eyes, ears and voice for us in our communities, and as such, our volunteers are a vital part of our team approach to caring for those entrusted to us.
Volunteers are a very important member of the North Mississippi Hospice family. They provide a number of services including visiting patients and families, running errands for families, clerical work in the offices, baking cakes for patients, reading to a patient, planning or assisting with special events such as the annual memorial service and so much more.
